Abbeydale Park Crescent
Extension & loft conversion
KOA Architecture was appointed as architectural designer for the transformation and extension of a family home, from initial briefing and feasibility through planning, technical design and construction.
The project combined a rear extension, a loft conversion with dormer, rooflights, internal alterations and a better relationship between house and garden.
Following objections, including concerns from the adjoining property, the design was reviewed and amended. The rear extension was given a 45-degree angled wall, responding to the neighbouring house while keeping the spaces inside fully functional.
After planning, KOA developed the Building Regulations and technical design, prepared Party Wall documentation and, during construction, liaised with the contractor and resolved site queries, including the configuration of the new staircase to the loft.
