Forest Road
Extension, alterations & loft conversion
KOA Architecture was appointed to develop the approved residential proposals into a coordinated Building Regulations package at RIBA Stage 4.
The wider project involved substantial alterations and extension of an existing detached dwelling, including two-storey accommodation, a loft conversion and associated changes to the roof and external envelope.
Our role focused on the technical development of the project, translating the approved design into a detailed and coordinated set of construction information covering the ground, first and loft floors, roof configuration, means of escape, internal partitions and openings.
The technical work also considered the relationship between new and existing construction, including structural openings, ventilation, drainage interfaces and the performance of the altered building envelope.
